Fairey Firefly MK-1

This Fairey Firefly Mk1 was designed and built during the summer of 2003. The plane has a 114 inch wingspan and is powered by a 3W-75i. Scratch built retracts, Youngman flaps. Heavy airplane. By the time I was done with it I was ready to fly it right to a landfill. However, after spending almost a year in my garage I finally flew it in July of 2004. Much to my surprise it flew rather well and landings are a blast with those strange but effective flaps.

October 2009 Sold the plane to Dave Szabo who is a much younger, better(looking) pilot with a reputation for never having PIO'd a landing in his life.
