Ercoupe, Balsa USA

This Balsa USA 1/3 scale Ercoupe was constructed during the spring of 2004. It was the second of their prototypes and parts were used for the instruction manual. My part in the construction was quite simple. I had to finish and fly it. The plane has a 120" span and is powered with a G-62. A G-45 or similar engine is plenty. The finished weight should be around 30-32 pounds.

The plane had 38 flights this past summer. Many people took turns at flying the Ercoupe. No detectable bad habits(not true for the builder). Great landing gear makes shooting touch and goes a delight.
