Douglas Dauntless SBD-5

This Dauntless is the first one of 2 that I built in the late 70's and early 80's. It had about a 100" wingspan and was powered with a Quadra 52 which gave it marginal performance. Flew this one for a few years and finally sold it in 1983. The other one flew on until the early 90's when its pilot suffered a case of dumb thumbs and totalled the SBD However, it also did great damage to the Porta-Potty it hit.
