Douglas A-26c Invader

I actually built 2 A-26's and flew both of them. They were powered with G-23's. Were built from Don Smith plans. The retracts were scratch built. The first plane hit of all things a small bird during a flight at Oshkosh, WI. The results are shown above. I shall not show the bird's injuries which were also fatal. The second one flew for about a year before I sold it. Neither of the planes were comfortable to fly.
