The "Nell" was introduced by the Japanese during the Japanese
assault on China in 1935. It was used as a light bomber during
the first half of WW-2. This scratch built replica is about
1/5.5 scale giving it a wingspan of 180". The model is powered
by two EME-70's twin cylinder engines. It has a homemade
retractable landing gear and is able to drop a 36" torpedo.
It is a rather easy to fly twin somewhat due to having Junker's
ailerons giving it good slow speed maneuverability. The plane was
built in the winter of 2019-20. First flight was May 6th,2020.
Here's a great video by Rich Behrend of the Nell's 6th flight.
